Each DineRite blade, bolster and tang start from a single block of high carbon, stain resistant surgical steel alloy. This block is then hot dropped into the classic DineRite shape; tapered blade, heavy protective bolster and double V tang. Now the forged piece is precisely hardened and tempered to exact standards. It is first heated, then colled until a perfect Rockwell hardness is achieved. Then each DineRite blade is precision taper ground and hand honed to assure a keen, long lasting cutting edge.
